The city of Roswell (just north of Grandmom and Grandpop's house) hosted a "Truck Touch" this weekend, so we ventured up there in the hopes that we'd be able to get really close to some big, big trucks. We were not disappointed! As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, Harrison started going crazy from the backseat of the car about the "rd trshtrck" (no vowels when he says it). In addition to the red trash truck, there was also a cherry picker, a street sweeper, a sewer investigator (a little robot with a video camera strapped on it that roams around in sewers looking for alligators and damaged pipes), and some other trucks that do important yet unknown work. Harrison (and also Dada and Gambob, let's be honest...) was delighted with the experience -- he got to touch all the trucks, sit in the drivers' seats, and talk with the workers! Harrison's favorite was the trash truck, I think we made three separate visits to it...
We'll start with the trash truck (but also look around to see if there are any better trucks...)!
